Welcome!

Every Sunday Renaissance Baptist Church offers children’s programming for Junior Kindergarten up to Grade 6. Program details for each age group are outlined below. Children stay with their parents for a time of group worship in the sanctuary, (starting at 10:30am), and are dismissed to the Sunday School Cottage from there following the catechism. Grade 7 and up youth are encouraged to stay in the service during the sermon but have other programming during the week highlighted below.

Safe With Us:

All children participating in a Renaissance Baptist Church program must have a completed Registration Form on file. Also, for security purposes, specific parent/guardian drop off and pick up procedures are in place for each age group. Finally, all ministry volunteers and teachers have gone through necessary screening and child protection training. Your children are safe with us!

Junior Elementary Class(Age 4/JK - Grade 3)

Sunday School Cottage (room 1) This children’s program includes Bible stories, activities, crafts, and memory verses.

Drop off/Pick up: We encourage parents to escort their child to the foyer when prompted during the service, where attendance is taken. Parents/Guardians must return to the portable after service to pick up their child and provide a ‘sign out’ signature in the attendance binder.

Curriculum: The Gospel Project - “From Rebellion to Exile”

Though God should be our ultimate value in life, we place many earthly things above Him. The story of the divided kingdom reveals the many warnings God’s people received—warnings to seek repentance from their sinful, idolatrous ways and turn to God. Kids will find that as we repent of our sin, we are filled with the truth that we were made in the image of God.

Senior Elementary Class(Grades 4 – 6)

Sunday School Cottage (room 2) Through interactive lessons and activities, kids in this group will gain an expanded view of God as they experience His amazing love for them.

Drop off/Pick up: Parental sign in/sign out is not required for this age group. However, children are expected to go directly into the main church building after the class is finished to reconnect with a parent/guardian. (Please sign your consent for independent student release on your child’s Registration Form.)

Curriculum: Deeply Rooted - “Your Place in the Body of Christ”

Students will be challenged to serve the body of Christ in a unique and meaningful way, and discover their unique place in the Body of Christ.

Nursery (Infant – 3 years old)

Lower level of church building: Our Nursery is currently running self-serve. Parents are able to use the nursery space to watch their own children at any point during the service. The loft will also be available for this purpose.

The nursery is set-up with various child appropriate toys, has change tables available and is also set-up with a live feed of the sermon so you can listen while your child plays in the sectioned off space.

Family (For everyone who calls Renaissance their Church “Family”)

Community Skating -  Instead of asking the community to come to us. We are going to them. Join us once a month on the dates listed as we skate as a church family with the community. We’ll bring hot drinks, timbits and the love of Jesus in our conversations with the community. Feel free to invite a neighbor on these Sunday afternoon dates: October 30, November 27, January 29, February 26

Christmas Play - Church performance followed by Family Pizza Party. Second performance in the evening at the Court of Brooklin. A great chance to share the story of hope and peace on earth to our elderly community.

Various Events - Board Game nights, campfires, picnics and occasional service projects in the community. Stay tuned for ways to get connected and build relationships.
