YOUR FIRST VISIT

We know that attending a new church for the first time can be overwhelming. You don't know what to expect, like; how the service runs, if there are kids programs, worship styles, what to wear, etc.

On this page we go over some of the questions you may have before you attend. Feel free to browse and please contact us if you require any more information on your first visit. We look forward to seeing you and your family.

  • WHAT DO WE BELIEVE?

We believe that Jesus was crucified on a cross and died for our sins, was resurrected on the third day, ascended into heaven and will come again. We believe that salvation is only through belief in Jesus Christ. We believe that God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit are three in one. We believe that the bible, which is the inspired (God breathed) word written through man under inspiration, reveals this truth. A longer statement of faith can be found in the "About Us " section of this site.

  • WHat is the worship style?

We don't think that worship is determined by musical style! We have a band featuring some talented multi-instrument musicians. We enjoy praising God, and try to do that musically, using meaningful songs and hymns, from many sources and eras. We welcome you to lift up your voice, heart and even your hands in worship with us.

  • WHAT time does the service start?

Our service starts at 10:30am and usually runs about 75 minutes.
Arrive a little early if you'd like to enjoy some refreshments and to connect with others.

  • IS THERE CHILDREN'S CHURCH?

Renaissance offers childrens and youth ministries for all ages.  Please see our children and youth ministries page for more information.

  • what to wear?

We're pretty casual at Renaissance. If you're comfortable, we're happy.

  • food and drinks?

We have good, strong coffee, tea and when we aren't in a pandemic often fresh baked goods! Outside food and drinks are fine with us and you can bring them into the service with you.

  • WHAT IF MY KID CRIES DURING SERVICE?

We are kid friendly! Pastor John does not bat an eye when a baby complains during his sermon. However, if you feel more comfortable, we have a loft available with audio and a view into the sanctuary for mother's who need a private space to nurse or to allow your infant to complain freely.

  • BE OUR GUEST.

You are our guest, and as such there is no obligation to make an offering. We wish to make all our first time visitors comfortable in the environment we provide. It is family oriented and relaxed. We are here to serve you.
